SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Legal Counsel will provide legal guidance to the organization on contracts, regulatory compliance, risk management, and business matters. The role will help protect the company’s legal interests and ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Legal Advisory
- Provide legal advice on business operations, agreements, and corporate matters.
- Identify and advise management on potential legal risks.
2. Contracts & Documentation
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
- Maintain accurate and organized legal records.
3. Compliance & Risk
- Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Support risk assessments and recommend appropriate legal and compliance measures.
4. Legal Matters
- Coordinate with external counsel on litigation and other legal matters as required.
- Assist with regulatory inquiries and legal investigations.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
- Timely and accurate legal advice.
- Effective contract review and management.
- Compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Timely identification and mitigation of legal risks.
- Proper maintenance of legal documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree.
- Admission to the relevant state bar required.
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in corporate or commercial law.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and drafting skills.
